Take the tube or train to Balham station.

Exit the station turning right towards "The Bedford" pub.

At the pub, turn right under the railway bridge onto Bedford Hill.

Walk along Bedford Hill, through the common, and over the bridge (about 5-10 mins).

At the junction on the right handed corner, turn left up Abbotswood Road.

Pedestrians can usually enter via the school barrier, but if closed, go to the next gate (25 metres).

The sports hall is the furthest building. Please use the main entrance and not the side doors.

Use Route 315 to get closest to the school:

Either; from Balham station, stop on Bedford Hill “for Tooting Lido”, continue walking in the same direction, go over the railway bridge and turn left onto AbbotsWood Rd (100 metres).

Or; from Streatham, stop on Garrards Rd (junction Becmead Ave), continue walking in the same direction, keep the common on your left until you reach AbbotsWood Rd (200 metres).

From North and West:

• Either;- go to Balham and take the left fork down Bedford Hill, through Tooting Common.

Turn left at the mini roundabout immediately after the railway bridge.

• Or;- go via Brixton to Streatham. At Streatham Hill Station turn left, follow Drewstead Rd, turn left onto Hoadly Rd, to Abbotswood Rd.

From South West:

• Go to Tooting Bec, take Tooting Bec Road. After the railway bridge turn left onto Garrads Road. At the mini roundabout, straight ahead onto Abbotswood Rd.

From South East:

• Go north on Streatham High Road, follow signs for Balham and turn sharp left onto Ambleside Ave. Follow signs, turn sharp right. At traffic lights at end of Ambleside go straight ahead onto Garrads Road. At the mini roundabout, straight ahead ont Abbotswood Rd.

The gym is easy to find. Go through the only open gate. Park next to the gym.

If you are driving, then come via Hammersmith or Wandsworth Bridge, and then to York Road.

Or, you can take a bus to Barnes (33 or 72?), and then get a train to Wandsworth Town or Clapham Junction.

Or, you can take the District Line to Victoria and get a train to Clapham Junction.

From Wandsworth Town: Leave the station , turn left and go under the bridge. Tun right down the path and keep the railway on your right.  Use the subway to cross the road, (keep the bridge on your right). Walk down York Road towards Battersea, Hope Street is on your right and the centre is about 50m. It's a 5 minute walk. 

From Clapham Junction: leave the station via the tunnel, by walking towards the exit near platform 1. (If you find youself in the shopping centre, go back the other way). Exit the station, turn left and keep the railway on your left. After 200-300 metres, at the junction by the railway bridge, cross the road and go into the housing estate, keeping the shops on your left. Hope Street in on your right, and the Centre is about 100m. Again, it's a 5 minute walk.

The "Junior School" Venue

Sometimes we have to move to an alternative sports hall venue when the senior school is taking exams and the sports hall is full of desks.

The Junior school is on the junction of Wavertree Road and Daysbrook Road.
