Introduction
BK welcome, first meeting with new committee.  Let’s get cracking.

Committee Structure
Roles and Responsibilities
SB - Everyone emailed proposal from Scott, Barry also has a proposal (each league has their own account, that then feeds to the GBFF).  Barry hasn’t got a copy of the proposal and no one else received a copy prior to the meeting.
BK - Read through of Scott’s proposal
VB - Central committee should always have the power to make the decisions over floorball in the UK
BK – previous meetings whereby nothing has been achieved due to a limited number of people making decisions.  Any meetings should have at least 50% attendance from core gbff committee.  Redraft GBFF constitution.  Youth should stay separate from GBFF (for now)
FC – disagrees with youth separation, everything should be as one!  Future development as one entity, including the youth.
VB – specific grants for youth floorball funding from where must be spend on specific items.
FC – when GBFF is running properly the youth is the future, a large % of raised monies will go to the youth, as they are the future.
MB – what is the age limit of the youth players (BK under 25 is youth) where does youth stop and where does senior start?
VB – should be under 18 youth, 18 or above are senior (adult)
TC – 1 adult fee for gbff 1 junior fee for gbff
SB + TC + VB + FC + MB – all membership rates needs to go direct to GBFF, players become members of the GBFF and pay them.  What league they pay in makes no difference.
SB new idea GBFF – Floorball England + Floorball Scotland – GB Youth
MB – monies AGM proposed and seconded that 40% of membership paid to GBFF is that standing? Agreed that previous years 40% was to stand as it had been agreed by the committee in place at the time however from today on 100% of the membership fees goes directly to the GBFF to be distributed as and where needed/agreed.
ALL – conclusion
GBFF runs floorball in this country.  From today all membership funds go to GBFF directly.  The youth accounts at this stage are separate the plan is that within 3 years the youth will merge and be doing the same, however anyone paying for GBFF membership including youth members pays their money direct to the GBFF.

Current Situation

Structures – last year there was a southwest league, northern league, southeast league, and a premier league.
This year the structure will be as follows;

National Tournament consists of the top two teams from every league playing 3 * 20 mins on a full size rink.  8 teams in total.
We will be aiming to set up and run a British Open which will be a cup competition open to all teams.  It was felt this is not something that we can organise for the upcoming season.

Youth
Youth disco and medal presentation for the all youth members on Saturday 14th June
Youth national championships in Gloucester on Saturday and Sunday 5th and 6th July (would be nice if this were to be supported by attendance by the GBFF committee).

A.O.B
When are members going to be registered with the GBFF by for the 08/09 season?
Stoke Mandeville has been agreed to be the home of the GBFF.  Mick has made a lot of progress with regard to contacts at the venue and it is felt this location will be an ideal location for GBFF organised events etc.

Date Of Next Meeting
Sunday 3rd August Stoke Mandeville at 0930.  Mick is going to arrange this as Angharad isn’t in place as secretary yet.

Actions to be taken
MB – E-mail south west committee roles/descriptions to Scott to clarify GBFF roles/descriptions and retype/send out.
VB + MB – 3 year plan for the GB team
MB – to pass all current work that has been completed to Frank as he is marcom now and will take over and continue.
All – send to Frank all and any information regarding floorball so it is available to go on the new website
TC – set up a bank account for GBFF no later than end of June, the sooner the better, with appropriate (as stated above) signatories.
JB – Improving/expanding the refereeing within floorball in this country.  Standard of referees needs to be set.  Look into sourcing external referees for the 09/10 season (source them, train them, qualify them etc referee kits)
